Bestselling author Juli Zeh has written original screenplays for a series for the first time: Six episodes of the production, working title "Hohenfelden", are currently being filmed in and around the Slovak capital of Bratislava.

 

Young show jumper Ina Hansen (Lili Epply) has been living and working on the estate of wealthy Robert Leerkamp (Heino Ferch) ever since he took her in as a parentless teenager. Today, Ina is considered a rising star in the world of equestrian sports - headstrong and ambitious. But when she falls out with Leerkamp, Ina realizes that as an outsider, she stands no chance in the elitist world of riding.

 

She eventually finds shelter at Hohenfelden, a once-renowned equestrian center built by Olympic rider Gerhard Brun and his wife Cora (Karoline Eichhorn). Since Gerhard’s death, however, the estate has been on the brink of bankruptcy.

 

In this situation, Ina appears to be the perfect solution for Marco Brun (Joshua Hupfauer): he sees her talent and wants to make her the sporting figurehead of the estate. But over time, Ina begins to suspect that she might secretly be Gerhard Brun’s daughter - and therefore Marco’s half-sister. She decides to uncover the truth about her origins and fight for her place at Hohenfelden.
